The Institution has agreed to the provisions set out in this Charter, namely:

• To respect and observe the principles of Erasmus mobility:
  - Mobility can be carried out only under prior bilateral or multilateral agreements between higher education institutions.
  - No university fees for tuition, registration, examinations, access to laboratory and library facilities are to be charged to incoming Erasmus students.
  - Full academic recognition must be given to students for courses specified in the Learning Agreements which students have taken and passed.
• To ensure support for Erasmus Transnational Projects in particular by providing the necessary institutional support for staff engaged in approved Transnational Projects.
• To inform its Erasmus students and teachers of the terms and requirements for Student and Staff mobility.
• To comply with the regulations on mobility set out in the contract between the institution and the National Agency.

The Institution has agreed to make every effort to ensure high quality in organising Erasmus Student and Staff mobility, in particular by:

• Proper planning of studies abroad and ensuring that students sign and observe learning agreements
• Prompt provision of a transcript to all incoming students after completion and assessment of coursework
• Using ECTS or a comparable system which gives transparency for purposes of academic recognition
• Providing adequate information to outgoing and incoming students and teachers
• Providing the necessary linguistic preparation to mobile individuals
• Integrating incoming Erasmus students into normal university courses
• Ensuring the integration of the teaching activity of visiting staff into the curriculum
• Providing housing assistance to incoming students
• Facilitating and supporting teaching staff mobility
• Acknowledging the teaching activities carried out abroad.

In its Erasmus activities, the Institution has agreed to respect the transversal Community policies set out in the Socrates decision:

• equality between men and women;
• integration of disabled students and teachers;
• enhancement of social and economic cohesion and combating xenophobia and racism in the institution.

Violation of this Charter may lead to its withdrawal by the Commission in whole or in part. The conditions of the withdrawal of the Charter and the appeals procedure are specified on the Commission ERASMUS website and in the contract between the institution and the National Agency.
