The Rector of USAE established the Academic Incubator of Entrepreneurship (AIE) project operating within the Karol Godula Upper Silesian Academy of Entrepreneurship. The AIE is realised in cooperation with the Academic Incubators of Entrepreneurship Foundation and co-funded by the Ministry of Economy.
The main objective of the AIE is rolling out among the USAE's students the idea of entrepreneurship by enabling them to establish, on supported conditions, their firms within the structure of the USAE Academic Incubator. It makes unique conditions to young and ambitious people by assistance in creation of new work-places as well as giving a chance and inspiring cooperation between scientific and research environments and businessmen.
The AIE Director assigned from among its direct beneficiaries manages current activity of the AIE. Besides of the AIE Director, also the USAE Incubator Coordinator is established as well as the AIE Council. They perform assistance in overall activity of the Incubator. Also the Rector of USAE takes up patronage over the AIE.
Activity of the AIE was inaugurated during the conference, which took place in 2005. The conference gathered more than 300 the USAE's students. The USAE Rector and the representative of Academic Incubators of Entrepreneurship Foundation made the conference active involvement. Competition concerning the best business plans was announced during the conference in order to indicate the ideas, which should be commercialise within the AIE. Authors of most interesting ideas, properly prepared by consultation with scientific staff and businessmen, will set up firms in the Academic Incubator of Entrepreneurship on advantageous conditions, practically without incurring costs and risks. Such solution seemed to be quite impossible lately, however, the Academic Incubators of Entrepreneurship changed it.
